TO PUGH OR NOT TO PUGH

http://fashionista.com/2010/03/gareth-pugh-for-alexander-mcqueen-smart-move-or-too-soon/

Though not an extreme big fan of Alexander McQueen,  he is always one of the few designers that I will always scan thru the collection whenever the change of the season. Since his death, I have always reckon that if his label would to be continued, who will be his successor and i have ever since reckoned it will be Gareth Pugh. True enough, the speculations on the internet pointed all directions to him. Well, even though it is just a speculation, I feel that he may be able to sustain the house..probably with his own injection of style.

henceforth...to PUGH or NOT to PUGH.....? that is definitely the PPR's question.:)

MY MENTOR'S ILLUSTRATION

I considered myself very fortunate to have Thomas Wee as my mentor when I first started in this industry. He had thought me the art of beauty instead of vulgarity in design, minimalism instead of excess and also the usage of colours that God has blessed the earth with.
Most important of all, he had taught me the art of eliminating details away from design and yet still able to call out the shape and  form. That is truly design at its highest form.
Last but not least, this premier designer from singapore has the most gifted hand in Fashion Illustration which I wouldlike  to share with those who simply appreciates.. BEAUTY.

VIKTOR & ROLF AW2010

I have always love how Viktor & Rolf  translate their concepts into their collection. Again this Fall, they have another breakthrough picking up where their Babushka collection of more than ten years ago left off.
This time, they adopted Kristen McMenamy from the 90s supermodel league and how they assisted her to 'shed' off the 'excess & bulky' layered outfits, 'passing off' to the newer generation of models, reworked using just the drawstring concept. How brilliant!

Take my hats off...

I've really got to take my hats off Ms Miuccia Prada...how can anyone make a plain looking print and make it looks delectably attractive
